Our philosophy
With a profile, you entrust us with information about your professional future, often while you are still employed. We take that responsibility seriously. That is why we built TryAndHire from the start to work with as little data as possible and to let you decide who learns what about you. We made these choices deliberately, even where they limit what we can do:
- You decide when to reveal who you are. Companies see your professional profile with your first name and region. We do not show your last name, e-mail address, phone number or where you live, nor the employers listed in your work experience. What you write in your profile yourself, such as the name of a former company, is your decision. Only verified companies see your optional video, and you can make it visible to us alone at any time. A company receives your full name and contact details only when both sides choose Match after a conversation and you agree to share them.
- Only the cookies that are really needed. One cookie for signing in, one for the country you chose and, if you choose one, one for the display mode. No advertising cookies and no profiles of your browsing. That is why there is no cookie banner here: there is nothing you would have to agree to.
- No third-party services. No Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no ad networks and no embedded content from other providers. We serve fonts, scripts and videos ourselves; during your visit, your browser connects only to tryandhire.io. Our own visitor count works without a cookie and can no longer be linked to anyone by the next day. We never store your IP address in plain text: where it protects accounts and forms against abuse, we keep only an irreversible fingerprint. It appears in plain text only, as with any website, in the technical logs of our hosting provider's server.
- Only information that matters for the work. We do not ask for gender, nationality, religion or marital status. Companies can neither search nor filter by them. Your date of birth stays private, and there is no search by age. Skills and experience should decide.
- No selling, no advertising. Your data is not our product. We do not sell it, rent it out or use it for advertising.
- You stay in control. In your account, you can pause your profile at any time, download your data as a file and delete your account with your profile, documents and video, without having to ask us. Suggestions from our AI, for example when a CV is imported, only apply once you confirm them.
The details follow in the sections below.
Controller
The operator is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website.
avec compétence GmbH, Dufourstrasse 43, 8008 Zürich — info@avecco.ch
What data we process
For a profile: name, contact details, date of birth, information on education and professional experience, language skills, availability, salary expectations and the voluntary introduction video. For companies: company data and the contact details of the people acting on its behalf.
What we deliberately do not collect
No gender, no nationality, no religion and no marital status. This information is neither collected nor offered as a search criterion. The date of birth is collected but remains private: companies do not see it, and there is no search and no sorting by age.
Automated analysis
When a CV is imported, a language model suggests a classification. This suggestion is always confirmed or corrected by the person concerned before it applies. No automated decision about employment takes place.
Where your data is kept
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising. The website, database, documents and videos are hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland; our e-mails also go through Infomaniak. When you import a CV, it is sent to a language model, which suggests the classification. A company learns your full name and contact details only after a mutual match and with your consent.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion and release of your personal data. You can do the most important things yourself under Account > Settings: download all stored data as a file and delete your account, including your profile, documents and video. For anything else, an e-mail to the address above is enough.
Cookies
This website manages with very few cookies. There is no advertising tracking and no disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes.

How we count visits
We want to know how many people visit this website, not who they are. That is why we count visits ourselves, without a cookie and without an external service. From the IP address and the browser, we calculate a code that is valid for one day only. The key used for it is deleted the next day; after that, the code can no longer be linked to anyone, not even by us. We do not store the IP address itself for this count. We keep only this code, the number of pages viewed, the type of the first page (not its exact address), the language and the website or campaign that brought you here, and we delete this information after 400 days. Nothing is stored on your device. That is why we do not ask for consent.
