Electrical & electronics
3 disciplines in this area. Choose one to see the engineers behind it.
Electrical engineering and electronics now determine what a machine can do. The mechanics define its shape, but performance, control quality, diagnostics and connectivity are created in the circuit, in the control cabinet and on the circuit board.
More about this
In Switzerland these specialists often work in small, highly specialised teams – in medical technology, drive technology, building automation or at suppliers who manufacture for a single global market. This field spans several worlds. Electrical engineers plan installations, distribution systems and protection concepts and work within the relevant standards and, where necessary, the NIV (the Swiss low-voltage installation ordinance). Hardware and electronics developers design circuits, route circuit boards and wrestle with EMC. Embedded specialists write the firmware that holds both together and are often responsible for approval as well. People from this field measure rather than guess. With try&hire you first watch a video profile, then hold a thirty-minute introductory meeting and then work together. The engineers are employed, salary and insurance run through staff leasing, and you receive one invoice. After three to six months, both sides decide whether a permanent position follows. This route pays off particularly in electronics: whether someone can cleanly take over another person’s circuit does not show in a CV, but in the second month.
