Development Engineer - Diagnostics Systems

You work as part of a cross-functional team developing and verifying complex diagnostics systems, integrating hardware, software, consumables and reagents.

Your tasks

• Plan and execute work packages, including reporting and escalating issues to management
• Act as subject matter expert for an assigned area, guiding team members
• Design and execute experiments in biosafety level S1 and S2 laboratories
• Create test cases from product requirements and execute them, analyzing results
• Create regulatory documents and track issues, verifying bug fixes
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems, documenting software functionality
• Coordinate with hardware, software, consumables and assay development teams

What you bring

• Degree in a relevant life science discipline or equivalent job experience
• Interest in resolving technical problems and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry and labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2
• Familiarity with or strong interest in software and engineering applications and tools
• Experience in laboratory diagnostics and/or service and support is an asset
• Working knowledge of English, written and spoken; German is a strong asset

• Work model: On site
• Option of a permanent position after the assignment if both sides want it
