Jobs as Hardware & electronics engineer

Hardware and electronics engineers develop circuits and circuit boards – from the requirement through schematic, component selection and layout to prototype build, measurement and series release. In Switzerland this path leads particularly often into medical technology, measurement and sensor technology, and to suppliers who manufacture small volumes with high precision. Day-to-day work is measurement-heavy. EMC, signal integrity, power supply and thermal management decide whether a device passes certification, and most problems only show up on the prototype. On top of that comes coordination: with firmware, with mechanical engineering, with the PCB assembler, often with a test laboratory as well. Common tools are Altium, KiCad or Cadence, simulation tools and lab equipment from the oscilloscope to the network analyser. What tells you most is whether someone has taken a product all the way to series production – the path from a working prototype to a manufacturable assembly is the real part of the job. With try&hire you first watch a short video, then talk for thirty minutes and then work together. The engineers are employed via staff leasing; contract, salary and insurance run through us. After a few months, both sides decide on a permanent position.
