Jobs as Aerospace engineer

Aviation and aerospace engineers work in an environment in which every change needs evidence of compliance. Whether structures, systems, engines or maintenance: whatever is installed must be certified, and the documentation follows a component throughout its entire service life. In Switzerland the industry is small but specialised – suppliers of structural parts and precision components, maintenance organisations and a number of companies in the space sector. Day-to-day work covers design and calculation with tight weight budgets, materials and joining technology, qualification of components and cooperation with certification authorities. Those who come from maintenance also think in terms of airworthiness, findings and release processes. Common are the EASA regulations, Part 21 and Part 145, DO-178C for software, and experience with fibre composites and with test and qualification programmes. For you as a company, the most telling question is usually whether someone has actually taken a change through a certification process. The difference between a technically good solution and one that gets approved is large in this industry and cannot be read from a CV. With try&hire you first watch a video profile, then talk for thirty minutes and then work together. The engineers are employed via staff leasing; contract, salary and insurance run through us. After a few months, both sides decide whether a permanent position follows.
