Jobs as Pharma & biotech engineer
Pharma and biotech engineers work in an environment in which the documentation is part of the product. They plan and look after plants for active ingredients, sterile products or cell therapies, oversee qualification and validation, and handle deviations and changes. In Switzerland this is one of the most concentrated industries in the country – around Basel, in the Zug area and in the Swiss Plateau. Day-to-day work consists of plant support, qualification documents, risk assessments and a great deal of coordination with quality assurance. A change does not end with the modification, but with the evidence that everything still works as described. People who are good in this field work in a structured way and are not thrown off balance by an audit. Common are GMP and GAMP 5, qualification of equipment and cleanrooms, computer system validation, and experience with single-use technologies and with inspections by authorities. Through try&hire you first get to know these specialists by video and in conversation, then by working together. The engineers are employed via staff leasing; salary and insurance run through us. After a few months, both sides decide on a permanent position. In a regulated environment this is the more honest route, because diligence only shows over weeks.
