Two specialists discuss a technical application on a screen.

A project is also an insight into the team.

Bring your expertise to a concrete project. Get to know the tasks, the way of working and the team – and decide together with the company whether a permanent position is the right next step.

How does the team work together? Which tasks do you take on? And how well does the team suit you? On the project, you experience everyday work and decide on that basis.

The path in five steps

  1. 1

    Create a profile with video

Upload your CV, confirm skills and languages, record a short video. Our team reviews your profile before companies see it — anonymised, without last name and contact details. How to record the video

  2. 2

    Intro call by video

You enter when a call suits you. Companies book 30 minutes directly in these time slots. No back-and-forth over appointments by e-mail.

  3. 3

    Match on both sides

After the call, you and the company decide independently of each other. Only when both agree and you release it does this one company see your full profile.

  4. 4

    Assignment in the company's team

Three to six months on the company's project. Employment contract, salary and social insurance run through Try&Hire from day one, and an assignment manager is your dedicated contact person.

  5. 5

Permanent position, if both want it

If both sides want to continue, you move into a permanent position directly with the company. If not, the assignment ends as agreed and your profile stays active for further jobs.

  • Employed, not freelance

You receive an employment contract with Try&Hire, a salary and the usual social insurance — no service contract, no invoicing, no gap in your employment history.

  • Your profile stays anonymous for as long as you want

Companies see your first name, your skills, your languages and your video — but not your last name, your contact details or the names of your previous employers. Only when both sides agree after the call and you release it does exactly this one company see your full profile. We put your current employer on your block list, so it does not see your profile.

  • Why a video

A PDF shows what you have done. Two minutes of video show how you explain things. That is exactly what matters in a team — and it spares you calls that would not have been a fit anyway. How to record the video

Frequently asked questions

How long does an assignment last?

An assignment lasts 3 to 6 months at a company in Switzerland.

What happens after the assignment?

After the assignment, both sides decide whether a permanent position follows. The company gets to know you, and you get to know the company and the team.

How do I apply?

With your Try&Hire profile. No cover letter is needed: your profile is created from your CV, and you check and complete the details.

Who is my employer during the assignment?

Your employment contract, salary and insurance run through Try&Hire during the assignment. The operator is avec compétence GmbH in Zurich, licensed by SECO for staff leasing (Personalverleih).

What language is used at work?

The working language is stated in every job ad.

Do I need a video for my profile?

No, it is optional. A short video does help: in 20 seconds companies see how you talk about your work. A phone is enough. Go to the video guide

Can I create a profile even if no suitable job is advertised?

Yes. Companies also search the profiles directly. Your profile stays anonymous: only the one company with which both sides confirm a Match, and to which you agree, sees your name and contact details.

Your next project starts with a conversation.

Create your profile with a short video. Companies book the intro call directly in your time slots.
